Society’s over-emphasis on “the groups” rather than “the individual” is having adverse impacts on our humanity. All humans are hardwired for prejudice, aggression, and cruelty; along with an in-group bias preference. "As soon as you place anyone outside of the circle of 'us' the mind/brain automatically begins to devalue that person and justify poor treatment of him”. (Efferson, Lalive, and Feh, 2008). Current ideological practices are also impairing the brain’s neural circuitry associated with psychological well-being. Therefore, at the moment we are cultivating our most barbaric traits, impairing our well-being and institutionalizing them.
EmpowerED Pathways was established in 2017 because at the time (and this day) we noticed the attitudes/practices described above dominated the professional development/corporate training world and most likely working and learning groups around the country/world were being splintered and relationships fractured due to the newly imposed culture. We set out to: ease the chaos, bridge the divide, and heal relationships, by providing the tools to build an empowered and dignified society.
Empowered Humanity Theory (EHT) is s set of attitudes and practices that decrease the innate capacity for prejudice and increase the brain’s neural circuity associated with psychological well-being. We share EHT through professional development workshops for schools, businesses, and community organizations.
We are the only organization that gracefully rejects the newly imposed ideology for solving human complexities, increasing our well-being, and quidding our workplaces by promoting human dignity, human liberty, and personal/collective well-being instead. Going into 2023, society looks like we feared back in 2017 so we hope this year is a year for widespread support, and organizational growth so we can continue with our mission for years to come.
